Do you conduct clean-ups and events internationally?
Our international AMDI partners submit marine debris data to us from international locations
Although we don't conduct Tangaroa Blue Foundation clean-ups outside Australia, the Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) Database can host data from anywhere in the world. We work with organisations outside of Australia to bring in this data; for example, we work with our AMDI partner, the Conflict Islands Conservation Initiative, to track marine debris on the Conflict Islands.
We also work with a number of AMDI partners to help tackle the plastics problem on an international scale. For example, we launched our white paper on non-functional slack filling in collaboration with the International Waste Platform at the 2024/2025 Global Plastics Treaty negotiations.
