Rather than a standalone document, Tangaroa Blue Foundation has embedded our Traditional Custodian engagement protocols directly into our Strategic Goals.

We believe that reconciliation and engagement should be at the heart of everything we do. By integrating these protocols into our core strategy, we ensure that:

  • Free, prior, and informed consent is a standard requirement for all our projects on Country.

  • Data sovereignty and access are prioritised for the Traditional Owners of the regions where we collect information.

  • Our work remains consistently aligned with First Nations-led frameworks, such as the Traditional Owner Implementation Plan 2022 - Reef 2050.

This approach ensures that our commitment to reconciliation is not just a separate policy, but a fundamental part of our daily operations and long-term organisational vision.
