If I host a Project ReCon buoy on my vessel, do I need to connect it to my vessel's satellite equipment?
No. Project ReCon buoys do not need to be connected to any onboard equipment.
We simply ask that the buoy is stored in a secure, sunny location on your vessel so its solar panels remain charged and ready for deployment should you encounter ghost gear you are unable to remove immediately.
