What do I do if I find entangled or injured wildlife?

Report the animal to the relevant authority.

If the animal is alive

If the animal is still alive, notify the relevant authorities immediately, such as your local seabird or sea turtle rescue group. Don't try to handle the animal unless you are trained and confident.

If the animal is deceased

If the animal is deceased, take photos and upload them with relevant information (including date and location) to a citizen science website. This allows scientists to track the number/species entangled over time.
