What is the data quality assurance and quality control process after I submit my data?

Our data team check the data being submitted to AMDI to ensure it is of high quality.

AMI Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance (QA) in AMDI focuses on preventing errors before data is collected by applying nationally standardised monitoring methodologies, consistent debris classification systems, and controlled data entry structures.

Contributors are supported through clear field protocols, training resources, and predefined data fields, ensuring data is collected consistently.

AMDI Quality Control

Quality Control (QC) in AMDI involves post-submission checks by our data team to identify and correct errors. Submitted data are assessed for completeness, logical consistency, and spatial and temporal plausibility; with anomalies investigated and resolved in consultation with contributors.
