Why has my clean-up been cancelled or rearranged?

The most common reason for clean-up events being rearranged is dangerous weather conditions.

Our project coordinators carefully plan clean-up events to make the most of the conditions available at their chosen beach. Factors considered include tides, heat, weather warnings, wildlife risks, sea state and time of day.

Occasionally, we have to rearrange clean-ups due to weather conditions beyond our control. We rarely cancel events without rescheduling, so look out for a message from your clean-up leader with details about the new date and time (or check the events calendar/ Facebook event page).
